Pool Safety Tips!

Pool games, floaties, colorful swimsuits, poolside snacks, and so much more. Summer is everyone’s favorite season. Being able to swim in your pool is the best part about summer. Here at Aqua Leisure, safety is the top priority. Before you dive in, it’s important to know a few safety tips. You can have fun and be safe all at the same time! Make Summer 2023 a great one!

Supervision

This is the most important step when swimming. Supervision can be done in or out of the pool. Even if a child is properly trained to swim in the pool, accidents can happen. Supervision helps prevent those accidents from happening. It’s also helpful if the person in charge of the supervision is CPR-certified.

Alarms

You can’t have your eyes on the pool 24/7, but you can ensure you’re alerted if something happens in the pool area with a fence alarm. This is convenient if you have smaller children around. Depending on the alarm, it will notify you if someone unlatches and relatches the gate or when someone enters the pool. This is critical because your eyes can’t be everywhere at once. These alarms will be the eyes behind your head.

Drain Covers

Drain covers help prevent your clothing from getting sucked up and resulting in you being stuck. If you are a diver or like to swim to the bottom of the pool, often having a drain cover is very important. Without a drain cover, it can result in unwanted accidents.

Floaties

Those fun-shaped inflatables are there more than just looks. They help one stay above the water by simply hanging on and treading water. They make floaties for children to put on their arms and torso. It is important that you make sure you are picking the right size floaty, so you don’t slip right through. Floaties make swimming more fun and bring everyone peace of mind.

Swim Lessons

Take swimming lessons. During the swim lessons, they will teach you the proper way to swim, as well as tread water in case you need to. Getting swim lessons is the quickest way to get you to enjoy your pool!
